Conscientious efforts have been made to promote and create accessibility to affordable and quality healthcare services at the taluka level, which is not available even in district headquarters. This initiative has impacted and helped people not only in the Shirpur Taluka but several other talukas near Shirpur.
Dr Pitambar Dighore- HEAD OF IGMH | With the help of community leaders, and qualified medical professionals, well-equipped primary health centers were established to provide primary health facilities. Safe and secure medical aid can go a long way in community advancement. Recognizing this fact, several initiatives have helped treat 17000 people from 95 different villages, at none to negligible costs. Over and above this, about 350 medical camps are driven for check-ups and treatments of the people of 71 villages. These camps include eye camps, health check-up, polio diagnosis, camps related to kidney, diabetes, asthma; camps with experts, such as pediatricians, etc. Special attention is given to reproductive health. The health awareness camps educate the locals about the “dos” and “don’ts” of health.
