Amrish Patel has been the President of the Shirpur Education Society since 1979, which runs about 70 schools imparting pre primary, primary, secondary, and higher education. He is also the Director of R. C. Patel Educational Trust, which runs several schools, junior and senior colleges, professional colleges, Ashram schools.
Amrish Patel is the President of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal - one of the largest and most reputed education trusts which runs schools, colleges, professional colleges, technical institutes and the famous deemed university – NMIMS, having campuses in Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru , Hyderabad, Chandigarh offering U. G, P. G. and Ph. D. level professional programs. He is also the Chancellor of SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed Univ.).
A firm believer in the cooperative movement, Amrish Patel was Chairman of the Dhule District Co-op. Bank (250 branches) for 10 years. He is the founder Chairman of several organizations in Shirpur which include the Priyadarshani Sahakari Patpedhi, Priyadarshani Sahakari Soot Girni Ltd., Padmawati Oil Mill, Shirpur Taluka Doodh Utpadak Sahakari Society, R. C. Patel Gymkhana, Shirpur T. V. Club, Shirpur Peoples Co-op. Bank Ltd. and Amoda Parisar Telbiya Utpadak Sahakari Society.
One of his crucial and famous projects is water conservation providing water in Shirpur For agriculture throughout the year. This project is treated as a model water conservation project known as the ‘Shirpur Pattern’ of water conservation. Other projects undertaken are purified water supply to Shirpur, clean environment, planting one lakh neem trees in and around Shirpur,
Amrish Patel was MLA from Shirpur constituency from 1990 to 2004 and has been MLC since then. He was the Minister of School Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs, government of Maharashtra.

He has been instrumental in the development of the Shirpur Residential Campus of NMIMS for engineering and pharmaceutical programs. The campus is spread over 50 acres of land with 10 Lakh sq. feet built-up area having several facilities.
He has contributed immensely to the excellent all-around development of the Shirpur campus and takes a keen interest in the on-going activities.
He is also the Chairman of the Priyadarshini Sahakari Soot Girani Ltd, Shirpur for over a decade. The spinning and dyeing unit under the co-operative sector employs over 3000 people. This is Maharashtra’s biggest co-operative initiative.
He is a trustee of the Shirpur Education Society and R C Patel Educational Trust. He contributes to two major educational trusts in Shirpur, viz. Shirpur Education Society and R.C.Patel Educational Trust for its continued growth for several years. Between these two, they run engineering, arts, commerce, MCA, pharmacy, B. Ed. and D. Ed College, and scores of schools from primary to high schools.
He has also served as the President of Shirpur-Warvade Nagar Palika (this post is also referred to as the Mayor) for several terms:

As a result of the exemplary work put in by Bhupesh Patel and his team, the Shirpur Warvade Municipal Nagar Parishad got the distinction of being the first recipient of the Rs. 40 lakh- award constituted by the Maharashtra Government for best-managed Nagar Parishad in Maharashtra State.

Her work is centered on the education of tribal children, especially livelihood skills. As the mayor of Shirpur, she has heralded strong sanitation measures and systems, which were recognized and awarded by the state-level committee of Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan.
She credits her father’s spiritual values and her husband’s relentless passion for social good for fuelling her journey thus far. “My dream is to see every woman feeling confident, secure, getting her rights and rightful place in society,” she says.
